WHAT ARE EXOSOMES AND THEIR USE IN CELL THERAPY?

Exosomes are extracellular vesicles (EVs) released from multivesicular bodies via an exocytic pathway. Exosomes are known to specialize in cell–cell communications and provide an exclusive approach for the delivery of various therapeutic agents to target cells. Furthermore, exosomes have potential therapeutic applications in dermatology, oncology, immunotherapy, regenerative medicine and ophthalmological diseases.
